These are the words of Lafcadio Hearn, and GOZAI resonates with this value system.

However, in contemporary society, there are aspects that seem indifferent to the values mentioned earlier, such as the destruction of the natural environment and wars. Recently, the Japanese clothing production industry seemed to be in a similar state.

We believe that what touches people's hearts and souls is the respect and awe for nature and the deeds of great ancestors.

GOZAI respects the unseen and the power inherent in nature, guiding its activities accordingly. Encountering people who resonate even slightly with GOZAI's attitude is the most important value for us.

GOZAI represents the Japanese perspective. Alongside the aforementioned values, it cherishes the sense and logic cultivated through Japanese culture, fashion culture, and the vintage scene in Tokyo. Particularly, it draws inspiration from vintage sweatshirts and T-shirts.

The "ColorHalftone Sweatshirt" series pays homage to the "Three B’s series," represented by the Beethoven Sweatshirt, and the famous "ColorHalftone series" from 3d Emblem, known for Harley Davidson T-shirts. With deep respect, GOZAI studies the printing techniques and halftone screens of that era and redevelops them to fit modern technology.
